Prune’s Procreative Dinner in Geneva

The Procreative Dinner is based on the idea of a child «à la carte», and creates a reflection about how the new techniques of assisted procreation lead us to an artificial evolution of the human being through selection.
The artist associates her art to a chef étoilé and a specialized scientist and designs a meal around a «clinical process» – which moved through all stages of child conception, from in-vitro fertilization to choosing the sex of the child.
During this dinner, spectator becomes an integral part of the happening. He is ‘procreative’ because he creates, from cocktail to dessert and following step by step an assisted conception, his “perfect child”.
The first Procreative Dinner took place in June 2009 in Paris with the wellknown biologist Jacques Testart and the culinary designer Julie Rothhahn.”

“Pabst Blue Ribbon has paid some guy to paint a bunch of murals in downtown Phoenix for them, and they are all pretty bad. The one attached was put up maybe a week ago and I see it every day as it’s around the corner from my place. Today as I drove past I noticed someone had added a checklist to the side of the mural.
